The leaves of Memecylon umbellatum are opposite.
The leaves are simple with a 3 mm long petiole. They are glabrous on both sides, coriaceous and shiny, 4.5-7 cm long and 2-3 cm wide. The leaf is elliptic, the apex is obtuse-retuse or acute, the base is acute and the margins are entire.
The venation of the leaf is pinnate with prominent midrib on both sides.
